Want to help bring local history to life? We'd love to have you join our amazing volunteer team!

Our volunteers are the heart of what we do here. Whether you're leading tours through the Oil & Gas Museum or helping visitors connect with our exhibits at Henderson Hall, you'll be creating memorable experiences that make history come alive.

We're looking for people who enjoy meeting new faces, have a curiosity about our area's rich past, and can lend a hand during weekdays, weekends, or special events.

No experience necessary! We'll provide all the training you need to become a museum docent.

Fill out the form below and someone from our team will be in touch with you!

Volunteer Spotlight

  • A middle-aged man with glasses, short dark hair, and stubble, sitting outside against a brick wall, wearing a white and black plaid shirt.

    Eddie Stoneking

Edward Stoneking was volunteering at Henderson Hall as a young teenager, working with Michael Ralston, the last member of the Henderson Family to live at Henderson Hall.

Eddie still volunteers and helps us with special events when he is available.  He is always great about answering our questions about the years when Michael Ralston was restoring the Hall and ensuring his family’s legacy will be remembered.

  • An elderly man working with glassblowing tools in a workshop, wearing protective gloves and glasses, with shelves of glassware and decorative items behind him.

    David Fetty

David comes to Henderson Hall multiple times per month to create wonderful glass pieces that are sold in the gift shop.  Fetty worked at Fenton and is a recognized expert. He is popular at the Fenton annual meeting and sells his creations (that he creates at Henderson Hall)  to stores throughout Appalachia.

Your support helps keep all of our historic sites running and inspiring visitors for years to come.
