Next, head downtown to visit the Oil and Gas Museum to see how transportation evolved with the energy industry and show the kids an early model truck. Finish your day with a scenic drive to Fort Boreman Park for panoramic views of where the rivers converge.

Day 2: Ride the North Bend Rail Trail through historic tunnels that once carried B&O Railroad trains. Have lunch in downtown Marietta and then explore the Campus Martius Museum and learn about Ohio's first permanent settlement. Finish your day with a Valley Gem sternwheeler cruise to experience how rivers shaped the region's development.
